Artist Statement: Artist Statement: The moon and elements of space exist in spacetime far from us physically. I made the painting of the Hand to juxtapose feelings of the inner world with the outer world. The hand is universal, reaching upwards, never losing hope. These rhythms: personal and impersonal, micro and macro, inbreath, outbreath, make up all of our experiences.
