Lea's Twist On Cancer: Cancer isn’t a curse, it’s a new perspective on life! I’m blessed to now see the world through a different lens. It’s a reminder of how precious life is… however it isn’t something to dwell on. I don’t even think about my stage Iv dx daily! I live my life as the trailblazer I am, loving those around me fiercely and with every fiber of my being.

Magdalena's Artist Statement: My inspiration is Lea and she expressed tremendous courage and determination. She explained that the cancer didn't face her and that all along she felt God's presence and protection. Lea and her entire family faced this journey together. I wanted to show delicacy, strength, power in family and in faith in this art piece.
