"Spirit Dancer" Beach Towel

Lauren's Twist on Cancer: I have learned how to rebuild myself from the ground up. I feel like it took a lot but with a new perspective I have gained more than was taken from me. I use this for gratitude everyday.

Lena's Artist Statement: In my artwork I wanted to capture the energy of my Inspiration. The very first thing I noticed when I heard Lauren’s voice was her strength and determination. Throughout our calls, that impression manifested and I learned about her irrepressible energy. I believe Lauren’s source for her vibrance and urge for action comes from something deep down and is almost like an inexhaustible energy that has been passed on through her ancestors. This notion made me think of a spiritual dancer who is connected to her roots and nature and who emits and transforms her energy. My piece is a representation of something that might be referred to as the soul of combined forces of nature and transcendental energies that lie within Lauren and make her a spirit dancer.
